Expanded Learning Collaborative

The Expanded Learning Collaborative is a consortium of educators, leaders, and parents in the San Francisco educational community. Together, they have worked to create a citywide afterschool system to foster collaboration and to address the challenges associated with providing quality afterschool programs for K-12 youth. The San Francisco Expanded Learning Collaborative Web site needed to be professional, yet have an air of youthfulness while still conveying detailed educational ideas.

Tasked with re-branding, logo design and Web site development.

The Logo & Brand:

We juxtaposed bright colors and playful imagery against  a strong font to give legitimacy to the whimsical image and a clean and airy logo feel.

The Web Site: (click here to visit)

Using an established WordPress theme as the basis for the site, we customized a 45-page responsive site that included onsite social networking capabilities, scheduling and dynamic calendar items, job boards, forum discussion groups and access to members-only areas in addition to standard Web pages.

The Result:

Many members of the greater San Francisco educational community access sfelc.org daily to exchange event information, job listings and general educational advice. The client has been very pleased with the design, functionality, and our team’s responsiveness to its needs.
